Default Skateboarding - Concrete Life

Any of yous out there enjoy skating? I'm more of a snowboarder but finally this year my city has built a skate park so I have been skating more than ever.

I'm a bit of a novice, some basic flip tricks and grinds. I'm better at hitting big fun boxes and gaps. Getting big air and doing grabs. It's more similar to snowboarding so I get those down pretty quick. Flip tricks get me frustrated

If you skate, what kind of deck do ride? What trucks? Free yo mind

I haven't even bought a skate yet this year. My good friend (who makes decent money$) bought a nice new setup this year. He left it at home for me to use while he went away for work, bought another one while working cause he wanted to skate, then he came back and gave me his new board (not as good as his other but still good). So yeah I'm riding a Plan B board and honestly I don't even know what kind of wheels or trucks it has haha never took a look.

(Trying to get my postcount up so I can post pics too)

i used to skate a bit when i was younger but my biggest accomplishment was nailing a kickflip and that's about it.

Skating is hard as hell i quickly learned that and quit soon after but i still like the skating culture and i still watch skating vids sometimes.

Oh yeah man. I love hanging at the park, usually during the night since they have lights and it's a lot nicer to skate in cooler temperature. When you or anybody, regardless of skill level, is trying something over and over and you finally get it, everybody cheers you on like good for you man right on! It's a nice feeling of accomplishment, very encouraging. I skated when I was young in our old indoor skate park (which they took away years ago) I'd always idolize the older tough skaters and bikers. Now i'm kinda one of those guys, when I go hit the big fun box I always notice people at the park or even in their cars driving by, slow down and stare and they're just amazed sometimes.

It's really cool!

I had a Hobie board back in the 70's, but didn't really do much with it. BMX was my thing. I do love watching a good boarder though.

I currently ride a Lucero Schmitt stick. I would like to re-acquire a new Gator board, despite the hate of him. I frequent Vans Skate Park and Etnies in Lake Forest Ca. I tend to like transitioning as opposed to pulling aerial tricks. I can do all sorts of kick flips but I prefer street skating in general.

Heres the link for Etnies its alot of fun.

That park looks hella fun man

Our park isn't amazing, but it's better than nothing and we're having fun with it.

Are they actually still making those boards?

I still have my Rob Robscop street board that bought in 86

But I would love to get an old Neil blender and an old lucero or even better an old Vision Psycho Stick

I've bend skating for about 30 years and still go out about once a week in the spring and summer I'm not much of a fan of parks but rather just going out a finding a nice spot....riding arouND looking for a, spot is sometimes the best part

I do love crusing on my longboard, imagining all the spots that would make some sick street clips, but I'm not good enough for street to be honest :P

Yes Sir they have re-issues, mine is an original though. You can find your psycho stick here.

I have gotta step up on the Gator board its perfectly made for my big feets with the concave lines for kick flips.

I'm guessing Bob must be a fan of Gonzo. Gonzales was a God in street skate.
