Yes, based on her stats for the last 3 completed seasons... she has put up good numbers. 46 goals in 37 games for '12/'13 is excellent. Totally on track to achieve 50 goals in 50 games. She's not playing for Minnesota this year, of course because she had been training with the national team for the Olympics.

Wait huh not what I meant. I just meant she is not at the same skill level as kessel.

But I mean c'mon the Canadian women's team plays in Alberta. They went 3-11-4 against midget teams this year. So yeah they are really good but not NHL level.

Comparative to the rest of women's hockey yeah maybe she's the best I don't know. Phil is an nhl superstar tho. Apologies if I was being offensive in some way.

I've been loving the curling. Obviously following the coverage of the GB teams. I was also pretty hooked on the snowboarding halfpipe yesterday. The final was incredibly dramatic with White crashing out in 4th place. Carina Vogt winning gold in the womens ski jumping will probably go down as one of my favourite moments of the games too.

Definitely big for confidence as they weren't great in their pre-tournament games vs. the US, but it's essentially meaningless in the context of the tournament. When there are only two teams capable of winning really, it doesn't matter who gets the first or second seed.

****ing Meghan Agosta though. Gahdamn.

Despite what seems like the apocalypse here in Canada by only winning by two, I thought Canada played well today. Bergeron, Benn and Tavares were fantastic together and I'd like to see them get more ice time, although Babcock doesn't look like he's very open to that at the moment. The Toews and Getzlaf lines played well enough as well. While Crosby was pretty decent, I'd really like to see some better wings up there. I couldn't believe how poorly Carter played today, and Chris Kunitz is Chris Kunitz. They have an opportunity to bring both St. Louis and Duchene up to test them out against Austria, but I think we'll only see St. Louis get that chance, as I'm pretty sure they're looking at Kunitz-Crosby as a lock.

The D was awesome today. I get wanting to test Subban out as well tomorrow, but I couldn't fault any of the d-men today.

Price really wasn't tested much, so I can't say much about his performance.

Anyone watch the figure skating last night? I almost pissed myself when Parisienne Walkways (Gary Moore) came on.

So Barkov's tournament is over. First Koivu, then Filppula and now Barkov. This is kinda bad luck.
