Interesting game, didn't expect Mexico to make it so difficult but wtf was that defender thinking sticking a leg in like that with a couple of minutes to go?

Chile hitting the Brazil crossbar at the death yesterday and Mexico just a few minutes away today, one thing seems certain again and that is that one of the famous football nations will probably win the WC yet again. As they always seem to scrape through against adversity as both Chile and Mexico played to a level that was at times better than both Brazil and Holland.
Also today seems like the WC again, as yesterday felt more like a Copa America. With Holland now having to face either Costa Rica or Greece in the QF they must be licking their lips as they won't get an easier QF than this.

It will definitely be one of the elite teams. If Argentina don't win it, I would really like to see the Netherlands do it. In a final vs Germany to make up for '74.
Losing three finals . Must drive them mad. |

That Robben, fantastic player but a terrible cheat. Never a penalty. Still, the foul earlier on in the game was a pen and was never given so I guess it equalled itself out. Felt bad for Mexico. And Chile yesterday too.

It's a shame because he's such a talented player, even if he looks like he's 40 year old.
Actually quite looking forward to the next game, think Costa Rica are one of the rare opponents that Greece will actually open up and look to attack. I reckon the Greeks will slip through, they always do. |
