This match should be entertaining at least, the Iran/Nigeria match was just painful to watch.
I believed this would be the USA'S one shot at winning. After watching Portugal, i'm not so sure they can't at least tie them.

Was a good result for USA, a draw would have been better but that's the best scenario if someone had to win that match imo. Coentrao and Pepe are now both out.

2nd place is there for the taking just need to beat Ghana.

There's no reason for the USA not to be aiming for second place. They'll still be underdogs but taking something from Portugal isn't impossible. Gutted for Jozy though. Ruined my World Cup!

I don't think we should be dropping Rooney either to be honest mate. I did get the feeling Woy has the system he wants to play, or did for the Italy game at least, and Rooney didn't really fit into it, so he shoehorned him into the team on the left of midfield. But considering he was out of position he still assisted our goal. He wasn'treally involved in the match as he should be, but I don't think he had a terrible match.

If he wants to play Sturridge, Rooney, Welbeck and Sterling, I would have expected Rooney central behind Sturridge, Welbeck and Sterling either side.

Anyway, looking forward to watching Belgium here.

The USA has to be able to get out of this group now, Portugal was awful looking. Rooney has the ability, i'd say give him another look. Of course they will come back with him and hopefully move him around a bit more to get a good fit for his skillset.

Belgium got the best draw they could have hoped for. If they don't make it through to the knockout round the Belgian public will eat them alive.
