Interesting that Landon Donovan wasn't selected. That Julian Green is at Bayern Munich & was wanted by Germany so he must be half decent surely.
I could fathom them beating Ghana, but I don't see any way by Portugal and Germany. Guzan is our number two in net, but he has looked promising. Landon Donovan has not wanted to train as hard as the other players vying for the team. I can't see them giving a spot to a guy who isn't properly fit. Julian Green has been a great addition, hes gonna surprise some people I think. There are a few other additions from the college ranks that might be promising, but on this level you won't be able to see it, as I feel the USA will get exposed on their back end. They really are atrocious at slowing down teams with good pace.

Ribery is a massive loss for France and the World Cup in general. Bigger blow than Falcao.

Falcao plays for a much worse nation though, so the chances of him lighting the tournament up were diminished. At least now we might be able to see Bacca do something.

Serbia played a lot better than Brazil here. Apparently Reus has had a bad injury?

& There isn't a better commentator than Ray Hudson.

I'm with whoever said USA will probably either finish second or last. There's a good chance they will be beaten by each team in their group, but if they beat Ghana then yeah, they could be a dark horse to get something from Portugal or Germany. I do think they have a decent squad.

On one hand I want to pull for Jozy Altidore to have a good World Cup. On the other hand, after having such a poor season for us in the Prem, I'm gonna be so ****ing angry if he bangs a few goals in in THAT group!

I'm hoping for a youthful, exciting, attacking England team. Even if we get one though, I dread to think how many the likes of Suarez, Cavani, Immobile, Balotelli etc can put past our defence.

For my betting bros, good offer this: https://www.betbright.com/lg/9698/3511?btag=a_57b_107c_

£30 risk free bet on the England/Honduras match tonight, i.e. you fund the bet and if it loses your stake is returned plus they give you a free £10 bet to use in the World Cup.

Some decent markets to use it on:

England -1 - 21/20

Both teams score - 5/6

Over 2.5 goals - 9/10

Or wait to see the teams and bet on first goalscorer/match goalscorer.
