Well, that means he nearly pulled it off alone. ARG would've been non-existent if Maradona hadn't been there. ARG will reach the quarters just 'cos they'll play Iran, Bosnia, and then ARG may play Ecuador... and they might lose!

BRIGA ENTRE TORCIDAS VASCO X ATLETICO-PR 08/12 [CENAS FORTES] - YouTube Brutal scenes in Brazil yesterday. Players crying and telling fans to stop . That guy's head bouncing off the floor at 2:00 in . globoesporte - FOTOS: confusão entre as torcidas de Atlético-PR e Vasco - fotos em futebol Interesting that if someone so much as farted inside one of our stadiums, that apparently harmed our World Cup bid. These lot can riot and kill each other and not so much as a raised eyebrow. & The funny thing is, this game was actually moved because of violence at the previous game. Moved but didn't bother w/ segregation, would have probably been safer at the other stadium. |

Agreed, though I doubt anything will happen next year. The prices of tickets will see to that, any Brazil game, have a look at the crowd and it's the upper classes who make up the support.
Also lol'd at these hooligans, going flip flop to flip flop with each other. Can't take them seriously when they're dressed as if they're going to the beach. |

LOL yeah, but they won't be dressed as though they're heading for the beach next year: I reckon it'll be pretty cold there in July! Joking apart, nothing of this will take place in 2014; the WC is sheer business so things will be under control for the sake that footie tycoons won't get much benefit from riots or hooliganism.
It was the Boca Jrs fan day in Argentina yesterday. Yes: I'm serious. So, they got out there to "celebrate" and swarmed onto downtown: lots of shops were destroyed as well as cars, and people robbed. Detestable. |

Report: Operator in deadly crane collapse at Brazil WCup stadium worked 18 days straight
Not really a surprise people are dying when they're being pushed this hard. I'm sure there's been more than one incident as well? 169 days to go. |

Oh, it doesn't even mean some short-term cash flow problem, right? Life seems not to be a matter of paramount importance here; what matters here is the business, isn't it? Tell you what, we should take no notice of the world cup next year and leave everything unattended. The Hillsborough disaster wasn't serious enough for some, neither was the Heysel Stadium disaster (this match was only put off; then lots of people watched it and forgot about the deaths). Then there was the Puerta 12 in Messi's country; nothing seems to have changed since then. At times I find footie abominable and execrable, and feel like cutting it off my life for good. Aye, the article has made me go berserk. I apologise for my bad mood.

A lot of the kits are starting to emerge now ahead of the tournament.
Spain home: Ivory Coast home: Uruguay home: Ghana home: Netherlands home: Argentina home: Germany home: One we won't be seeing next summer in Brazil, Scotland home *woah*: France home: Brazil home: England will have two new kits, should leak around March/April. The home one will have a lighter shade of blue trim, no FA logo on the crest and a single colour used for the badge (royal blue presumably). The new away shirt will be a lighter shade of red with dark red accents on it. 163 days to go. |
