Effective at giving you bulk or effective at actually getting gains? I've always heard it just makes you look bigger.

It is good in the gym. Your muscles need water, especially when lifting. Try lifting heavy weights dehydrated.

Anyone here doing street workout opposed to being the standard gym rat?

Got so many questions I don't even know where to begin but here is a few:

1. Very a very casual lifter such as myself, is Creatine necessary? Always assumed that is really only for serious lifters.

2. Back and biceps one day, Chest and tri's next? Or mix and match to cause muscle confusion?

3. I run quite a bit but neglect my legs when working out a bit. I have heard running tends to mostly work quads causing imbalance with weaker hamstrings. When doing legs should I focus on Hamstrings, other muscles? Basically, do I work legs differently since I run?

It's not necessary, I know plenty of people who don't use it.

Not just for weight lifters either, footballers use it as well as other athletes.

Is fine keeping back/bis on the same day. If you're trying to shock your muscles so you don't plateau change rep numbers, exercises etc.

btw what is your goal?

No. Running will make next to no difference to your legs, should be doing cardio anyway.

Good question. Like everyone I want to be thin and healthy and ripped. :)But really just some tone. Not looking for bulk.

*wishes he had asked this question a month ago before he moved into a flat with three alcoholics and joined in*

High Reps or Low Reps Which is Best to Build Muscle?? - YouTube

Basically saying what I explained with hard science in the workout thread.

What the fuck do bodybuilders know about building muscle though.

Cuthbert 09-05-2014 08:29 PM

lol, the workout thread, just read through it. Clueless. The way people actually tried to get personal with me :D. Telling people to lift heavy on a squat :D.

Good luck with your knee snapping goals of 2014 :D.

Thanks man.. I just watched a few of their vids. They actually give great advice and I found them mildly entertaining.

Do any of you specifically target the forearms? What exercises do you do?
I am rather tall and more on the skinny side.
I like my upper arms and made lots of progress there, but my forearms and wrists not only look very thin, but are also a weak link when I do upper arm exercises.
