Great sport. Here in Italy it isn't practiced, we only have a table in the city, and we're about a 1 million people lol Nonetheless i always follow it on tv.

Pool is great when you're drunk and not watching it on TV.

Used to love watching Pot Black as a kid. Haven't watched it in years though.

My grandparents once owned a mean blind poodle named Snooker.

I cannot play any variation of pool; every time I try, someone ends up getting mildly injured. (Is snooker just pool but with more fighting and injury? I hope so)

Playing pool is like being drunk in that the only time anyone does it is when they're drunk.

Snooker is Pool for the mind
Pool is a great game though, just simplified

Not sure how people would get hurt playing a normal game of Pool, if so, you would seem to be playing with rather aggressive people

Or she's just too dumb to look behind her.

Snooker tables much bigger
Pockets smaller
Balls must be potted in a particular sequence (red, colour, then colours potted in order of value)
Red balls are worth one point and each colour from 2-7 with the black being the highest. You score points by potting red/colour/red/colour until you have more points than you can still score on the table (red balls stay in pockets) or until you clear the table

The skill involved is insane when it comes to cueball positioning, safety etc.

Pool for the mind is a good way of putting it.
