Trading a fireballing 26-year-old reliever with four years of team control who had a great season despite playing in the AL East for a 32-year-old starter with one year of team control and mediocre numbers while playing half his games in Oakland is absolutely brilliant. Way to go, Toronto, this deal will totally work out.

Yankees sure gave up a lot to get Aroldis Chapman...but now they have a lock down bullpen, if he can handle NYC....

Ah, the myth of the hero. Been hearing that for years, Hendu was THE guy. Nope. Bruce Hurst was THE guy- he won 2 of the three the Sox managed to win, ERa under 2, and struck out 17. Marty Barrett had more hits than Hendu in the series, with only 1 less RBI. Dewey Evans hit 2 homers just like Hendu, and led the team with 9 RBIs in the series.

The star of those playoffs was Barrett, who connected for 24 hits between the ACLS/WS. Nobody sings his praises..

New to the forum. I'm a huge baseball fan. The Rays are my team. I'm always down to talk baseball or fantasy baseball. Won't be long now....
