Yeah I don't think either team is likely to help another AL west team tbh |

Last year he gave up fewer runs, issued fewer walks, and had the lowest ERA of any season since his 2010 Cy Young winning campaign. *edited to add: with two fewer starts |

^ last season was one of the most bitterly disappointing since the 2008 team lost 101 games one year after winning 88 and contending to the last days of the season. Most, myself included, believed they'd turned the corner (see the first page of this thread) and to come up THAT short was just disgusting to everybody.
That's why I'm not ready to start planning for playoff tickets just yet. Speaking of which I had 1 really good ticket to that game, but my psycho boss wouldn't let me out of work. I sold it for 3 times the face value, but I'd rather have gone. |

Watched the last few innings of the Clayton Kershaw no-no just now. Pretty cool to see it. Always cool to see a perfecto or no-no even if you're not a fan of the pitcher/team.
As for my personally team, Braves, we've been having some ups and downs, Gattis is easily the one bright spot in the lineup. |
Don't look now but the M's have won 5 of their last 6 series, with three sweeps, and during that stretch are 12-4. King Felix was AL pitcher of the month in June, Kyle Seager was AL player of the week, the bullpen is the best in baseball. Been a LONG time since they've posted a record like this, they would be leading the east in both leagues, they would be in the thick of every other division and if the season ended today they would play the Angels in the AL wild card play-in game. Lloyd McClendon would probably win manager of the year. Attendance at Safeco is way up too. Still a lot of season to go but this is soo much better that it's been in a long time.
