well i should be more specific, the braves are good but i dont think theyre that good compared to some of the other playoff teams because of that division. im a mets and pirates fan, i know how awful the nl east is. marlins, mets and phils were all pathetic this season and the nats were huge underachievers. i had the nats as a preseason world series team

All teams in the playoffs are good teams. But I'll say this about Atlanta. They did NOT sell out game 2 of that series. They did not even come CLOSE to selling out game 1. Pittsburgh is not only selling out the games, they've got crowds cherring outside the ballpark, & even on the bridge behind the ballpark.
I am in the VERY unaccustomed position for rooting for the Dodgers over the Braves. Any town that won't sell out playoff games does not IMO deserve to advance (although they might anyway). I am 100% rooting for the Pirates because of their fans. St. Louis is admittedly one of the best baseball cities in the league but I would even root for the Braves over the Cardinals. I would root for Satan and his legions over the Cardinals. |

buccos!!!!!
i really hope the braves can win because i dunno how anyone could feel confident vs the dodgers in a series. this pirates teams reminds me of those giants teams who won it. great starting pitching and bullpen and a lineup with a lot of veterans who put together professional at bats every time. i laughed at the russel martin signing when it happened but he has been amazin for them!!!! |

One thing I will say. I'm glad there won't be any World Series games in that gawdawful domed carpeted excuse for a ballpark in St. Petersburg, and I hope that there aren't any World Series games in that all-purpose field-chewed-up-by-football-cleats stadium in Oakland. I've been to the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum and it sucks for both sports. I've never been to Florida but I've been to the Kingdome a hundred times & that's what the dome in St. Pete really reminds me of. Ick.

30 mins to game time go buccos!! not feelin confident on the road vs wainwright but hey, who knows!
smeem has me on ignore (lol) but i was pullin for tampa but yes their field is by far the worst in baseball by a landslide. just an atrocity especially for a team that constantly over achieves and is a contender year in and year out. rays team doesnt get the credit they deserve either |

i know and they dont have an owner willin to spend crazy money like some teams either. just sucks such a good team plays in such a crap stadium.
still stupid and doesnt make sense to me how cities pay hundreds of millions towards new stadiums tho. miami is on the hook for tons of money for that crap marlins park and they have nothin to show but an empty stadium with a horrible team btw my favorite player matt harvey will miss next yr with tommy john. ummm well at least most guys nowadays come back fine from it but that still really blows. in 2 years tho the mets could have a really stacked pitching staff tho. everyone remember the name noah syndergaard. he is going to be a stud right alongside harvey |
