i love beanball wars
the ump handled it terribly. girardi handled it amazing. so did arod. the hypocricy of sox fans is hilarious when ortiz is a roid user and so was manny who was a huge key to their great teams and world series but i also understand that fanhood isnt logical and hypocricy exists in many forms |

i said earlier in this thread, arod is the most disliked athlete in the world. ive never liked him since his seattle days here is something cool to easily check out the payrolls of different teams through the years and money committed in current contracts going forward |

dead thread
anyone been watching jose fernandez??? dude is AWESOME. some background: -he just turned 21 a month ago -born in cuba. tried defecting a few times and got caught, went to prison. successfully defected in 2008 with his mom who fell overboard and he jumped into the ocean to save her. -got to america, worked tirelessly with a pitching coach. dominated in highschool at a 6A school in florda -drafted in first round out of highschool currents stats: 25 starts. 10-5 record. 2.30 era. 165ks, 153 innings. a fastball near 100 and a filthy curve. some of the filthiest stuff i have seen. |

The only Brewers team I really liked was the 1982 "Harvey's Wallbangers" of Robin Yount, Paul Molitor, Cecil Cooper, Gorman Thomas, and crew that went to the World Series against the Cardinals. That was the beginnings of my hate for the baseball Cardinals, which became carved into granite in '85 against the Royals and fossilized against the Giants in '87 Quote:

for those not following, pirates traded my mets for marlon byrd and john buck. good trade for both. buccos got a starting caliber outfielder and a major league catcher which their hurt backup was not. mets got victor black who i think can be a great reliever and a 2B prospect who was 20th in the pirates organization at the beginning of the year and was now 11thish traded nothing basically and got morneau from the twins too. love the moves for the pirates. they got better without depleting the farm system for someone like stanton. one of the few teams that are 1. one of the best teams and 2. have one of the best farm systems |
