Atleti must be fucking sick of Real Madrid. Hope Juve slap their dicks all over Real in the final.
Just seen they've only had three attempts on goal, piss poor when you need to score five. |

people complain about the same teams winning the PL every season but I can't imagine being a fan of spanish football. knowing 1 of 2 teams will win the league every single season must be pretty brutal.
madness

It's even worse in Scotland. Rangers and Celtic the only two clubs worth talking about.
For years in Spain, Barca & Madrid got 50% of the entire TV money, with the other 18 teams getting the remaining 50%. The Premier League at least has a more equal playing field but I'm still bitter about Sky and Villa missing the PL boom in the 90s. We've had seasons in the league where we would have qualified for the CL if the rules were the same then as they are now, and the league was as accessible. Also I don't want football to take off in the USA, because if it did you will have millions of Americans pumping money into the same teams that the Africans and Asians are and the gap between the top 5/6 and everyone else will be even bigger. |

i don't see it ever truly taking off in the States. you have to remember that all major sports in the US share a lot in common (trade system, free agents, drafting, league format, etc.) whereas footy has the transfer system (albeit it is a little different within the MLS) as well as domestic and continental competitions that are just too strange for your average 'murican sports fan to get behind.
of course that's just how i see it. even as the sport becomes bigger around here, nobody is tuning into the MLS over the PL. it gets watched because of convenience.

Boring game. Hopefully the final will be better.
lol Old Trafford is such an ugly stadium. Dunno why they're talking of expanding the South Stand, knock it down and build a new ground on the same site tbh. Enough room there. |

normally i would be really excited for an Ajax vs Man U final, but with the type of football we've been playing lately i don't think it will be all that fun of a match. i'm all for winning at any cost, and i respect what Jose can do tactically, but we're not strong enough defensively to just sit back once we get a lead, and because of that it ends up with us playing 10 men behind the ball early on in the 2nd half with a one goal lead.
i'm calling a 1-0 win for us. not too worried about the scoreline so long as we can take the W.

watched the first half of the game but had to leave at half-time. i understand the hate RB get, but for an outsider i think they're rise is pretty cool to see. it's about time someone took the fight to Bayern, especially with their best players pushing passed their prime.
