Yeah, he only set up the winner with a piece of instinctive brilliance...

Watch the goal again. The pass wasn't meant for Robben, and he fucked it up/defender blocked it.

Nonsense mate.

And I think Ribery has been the best in 2013.

France weren't in Italy or in USA. France are non-existent nowadays. But anyway it was unjust last week and it was pathetic 4 years ago against Ireland. I reckon it would've been nice not to pass up the chance to see Ireland play 4 years ago, and Ukraine in some months: I quite enjoy when underdogs pleasantly surprise football fans, just like Croatia did in 2006, or Greece when they lifted the European Cup. I can't say that Uruguay were an underdog in 2010, for they'd won 2 world cups before getting the 4th place - don't forget that! Uruguay were the 1st world champions ever; that deserves some credit, doesn't it?

How good is Aaron Ramsey right now? I mean, the guy is on another level completely.

He had to adjust his game playing alongside Flamini tonight, forcing him to play a lot deeper and control the game (because Flamini is a rubbish passer) and he absolutely dominates the game, wins tackles all over the pitch, plays some delightful passes and nearly scores a few goals. Is there any better player of his type in Europe?

What type are you talking?

He's in a period of good form. Can't just claim things like him being the best midfielder in Europe (of his type), I remember when Joe Hart was the best goalkeeper in Europe.

If he carries on like this to the end of the season and into next, then maybe.

His form started in January. And I mean box to box player, obviously.

It's still a period of good form until he proves he can do it consistently, for more than 1 season. What happens if he falls off next season?

I'd take Yaya Toure over him. The only thing that'd make me opt for Ramsey over Toure is age.

Toure has been playing a lot deeper than he used to this season. Absolutely awesome footballer though.

But I was talking about form anyway, not whether Ramsey was a confirmed World Class superstar.

I think Pogba is up there. He is probably the only other box to box on current form (Toure aside) that can chat to Ramsey. He is two years younger also. Ramsey is obviously scoring more and generally playing better though.

Just thought I'd put his name out there.
