What about Ronaldo then, these last few weeks he's been raging. 17 apps, 24 goals now, plus 2 for Portugal. He's playing like a madman at the moment. It's as if he wants there to be no excuse not to give him the Ballon d'Or this year, he's like a football robot.

Despite everything, Messi is still the very best in my humble opinion. A footballer of a mind-blowing calibre. He'll end up hugely frustrated next year in Brazil, since Argentina have been an execrable team for some long time. Let's hope he gets better soon; Barcelona need him.

France cheated again, just like they did against Ireland 4 years ago. Footie has become an execrable business. And I wish Sweden had gotten themselves a place in Brazil.
