I think the definition of World Class is not looking out of place in any team in the World (not being in a World XI).
Put Walcott in Barca's team and I reckon they would have improved. Same with Bayern. Hart wouldn't improve either of those teams but I doubt he would be a cause for contention.

Buffon and Casillas are about 100 years old. De Gea is the epitome of 'plethora of mistakes' and Vorm?! Guzan?! May as well have chucked in Heurelho Gomes while you're at it. How can you justify Brad Guzan being world class? He wouldn't get a game with any team in the Premier League capable of a Top ten finish. The only credible name on the list is Neuer. And personally I'd take either Akinfeev, Muslera or Cech over him. |

Guzan has had a better season than Hart, I did not for a second say Guzan is world class. He isn't. Nor is Hart. I'll elaborate more tomorrow when I've got more time as I've got to be up early but Walcott and Hart aren't world class. They have no consistency. That's their problem. Was Kevin Philips world class in 2001? Adebayor after then? Fuck me. |

they're world class because they possess attributes that separate them from other great players. that put them on the next level.
Walcott his frightening pace and acceleration, possibly the worlds best. That is what makes him world class. He is probably the best in the world at that element of play. As for combining the total package into a goalkeeper, currently I don't think there's a more complete keeper than Hart. That is why I give him the distinction of being world class, I don't believe any other keeper is as well-rounded as Hart. Adebayor has the skill no doubt, he just struggles to apply himself. He's definitely inconsistent and that has blighted his game. We don't know fully what he is capable of because he's up and down. Find him a manager that fully backs him and a system that plays around him and we'll see. Phillips scored goals. That doesn't make you world class. How many of them were scored in the 6 yard box or from set pieces? How many of his goals were a result of individual brilliance. It's not like he was the best striker of his time either. Just happened to score goals in that particular season. Like Darren Bent when he was at Charlton or Michu last year at Swansea. |

Lol @ Walcott improving Barca or Bayern. He can run. That's it. He's a winger that can't cross to save his life. Cole hasn't been the best LB for a while now. That's between Alba and Alaba. Hart is world class. Not top 5, but world class. Gerrard and Lampard are old ****s.

Walcot >>>>> Pedro, Sanchez and Tello. He would improve Barca instantly.
Walcott >>>> Robben and Muller. Therefore he improves Bayern. Not gonna debate it as I firmly believe it. If you disagree that's fine.
