what about Curtis Axel then? It seems like they're putting a hell of a lot of pressure on him.
And why does every new superstar who's getting a push get dubbed 'a future hall of famer' I heard Cole say that about Miz once and I felt sick. I hope they don't push him down our throats too much, when Heyman first brought Lesnar to our attention, he wasn't announced as a 'Paul Heyman guy' every other minute and wasn't being touted as a future WWE Champion after two matches. The guys talented no doubt, but to thrust him into the same category as Lesnar and Punk may be asking too much. Also, it was good to see Cena taking his opponents seriously for a change. Too often he just belittles and makes his challengers look so stupid and inferior by verbally tearing them apart. But he made no jokes, no wise cracks about either Ryback or Axel, and he made Axel look like a star in the match. |

I like Curtis Axel because he seems to have some personality of his own, even when paired with such a huge presence. Hopefully he goes on to have a few decent feuds and maybe a title or two at least. Something new is always welcomed in the WWE.
Also, props to Bret Hart for his soon to be Oscar nominated role in the RAW programming.

Can't wait to see Bray Wyatt & The Family.
what WWE is really missing at the moment is mean looking dudes you'd see in a pub that just look like they'll beat the shit out of you.

So, Wade Barrett's just lost his title, he's on a losing streak. He's feeling down. Nobody has the time of day for him anymore. He goes to a bar to down his sorrows. He finds Sheamus there crying into a pint. It's near closing time and there's only them two and the bartender. Sheamus is upset about being overlooked for a title shot once more (got to keep it kayfabe) and claims that championship gold is all that validates him as a WWE superstar. Barrett agrees, since he lost his belt nobody has paid attention. The two drink the night away and start a pact, that they will win championship gold no matter what. They make a run for tag team gold as well as singles belts, one always has the other in their corner. After a win, they celebrate with a few beers, after they lose they drown their sorrows. They dub themselves 'Drinking Buddies' and dowse other competitors in baths of cheap lager and do shots before getting in the ring with fearsome opponent s like Big Show and Mark Henry. They're just two tough guys who enjoy a good brawl and a stiff drink. |
