Doubt he'll get to compete though. The McMahons are probably pissed that their golden boy got in trouble and want to punish him further.

the last report i read said they knew of his violation before they announced the match. i didn't catch raw, so i'm just assuming they announced it then, so there's still a possibility he might end up competing

Doesn't mean anything. WWE will still do further punishments. Not saying he won't compete at Battleground though. Good chance that'll happen.

i'm a bit confused what you're replying to with this part. my last post was only talking about his chances of competing at battleground, and my post before that was also focusing on his chances of competing at battleground.

these two posts to me seem to conflict with each other in regards to reign's appearance at battleground, so i'm just wondering if i just mixed up what you're relaying here or if you just changed your mind.

as for further punishment, i can't say for sure, but i think reign's main event status might be hindered a bit, or at the very least, they'll be apprehensive about continuing his superman push. the only recent similar situation i can compare this to is when rvd held both the wwe title and ecw title around 2006, unless there's a better example i'm forgetting. as it looks now, i think it's likely he will be competing at battleground, but that could all change depending what takes place on the next raw

It's still surprising to me that he would violate the policy. I mean, like you said, he's getting one of the biggest main event pushes in recent memory and even despite the reactions he gets, it hasn't really slowed it down all that much. I can see this hindering it to some extent, but if being booed out of the arena every time he steps into the ring hasn't brought this push to a halt, I don't see a first violation doing much to slow him down either.

If I had to guess, this may be a red light in his push. But by no means an end. Just a temporary red light.

I doubt it, but we'll see. I hate to kick the guy when he's down, but it's not like it's much of a loss anyway. Ambrose and Rollins can pull together a solid story and some fantastic matches without him.

I guess I'm a weirdo I actually like reigns and I'm sad to see him go. And I don't like Ambrose. So the whole situation on Raw right now has me angry.
