Pro Wrestling Superstar Ultimate Warrior Dead at 54 - ABC News
Wow. It's not my intention to sound insensitive with this next comment, but I did think to myself "He is going to have a heart attack soon" when he was on RAW on Monday night. There was something off about him, the way he was acting - beyond character. Anyway, what a shame. But at least he got the HOF induction before his passing.

Pretty crazy. Dude's body language is definitely off, but it's the words that really make it for me. He's talking about his heart beating it's last beat, and all sorts of other stuff like he's about to die. Maybe he knew he was going. RIP to a great wrestler. He was a little before my time, but I knew who he was. He was still in wrestling when I first got into it in the mid 90s. |

What they did achieve was a moment. A Wrestlemania moment to end all Wrestlemania moments. I just can't decide if that seems enough. Maybe it is. I dont know. Quote:
I also agree that Wrestlemania was great but I thought it was great from a wrestling standpoint too. Bryan and HHH had a wonderful match, John Cena and Bray Wyatt etc. There was good wrestling matches, but the main winner at Wrestlemania was the story telling. There hasnt been stories that good told or concluded at Wrestlemania for some time and there are moments from this one that will be replayed and recapped forever. Quote:
I am glad he went into the Hall of Fame because I think he warrants a place. And I'm happy that he was inducted alive. The saddest thing about it is seeing him at the HoF with his wife, his mother and his girls and then learning of his passing merely a day or so later. He may be a little crazy, a little out there, he may have been seemingly somewhat unprofessional at times and some of his personal views may be, to me, questionable - but he also seems to be a pretty good father and husband. |

I was always a Warrior fan when I was a kid.
He wasn't great in the ring but his feud with Rick Rude is still one of my favourites to this day. And he had that awesome match with Savage at Wrestlemania VII. I can't help wonder if he knew his health was failing before he agreed to come back to give his family one last big payday. Also I don't mind admitting I marked out like a kid when Cesaro won the battle royal.

Well he's been working with WWE recently, before his Hall of Fame induction. He's been getting the proper DVD treatment from them with a new boxset so he's been doing that. I suppose it's possible he had health issues but I'm leaning more towards a coincidence, as huge as that is. The timing was really unbelievable. Sadly, it just seems to make sense now when wrestlers randomly drop dead.
That match with Savage is one of the only matches of his I can keep occasionally going back to. |

I grew up on the WWF. Went to Wrestlemania V as a youngster, watched the Mega Powers explode and cried when Macho Man lost the belt. I was a Macho Man guy all the way!!!
I lost interest around 93/94 but when the nWo and Attitude era came out, I got sucked back in BIG time. Then after the Hogan/Rock match at Wrestlemania (I think that was 2002?) I lost interest again...felt that they were just doing the same things over and over again. For whatever reason, my interest is kinda getting piqued again...the WWE network looks pretty cool, so my question is...as a fan of the late 80's WWF and a huge fan of the nWo/Attitude era of wrestling...would I like the product the WWE is putting out now? |

The booking is still a bit hit & miss and will leave you scratching your head.
