I've seen many World Cups and watched many great international teams and non (including the current Spanish side) were better than the Brazil of 1970.
They had everything. That team coined the phrase, "The Beautiful Game". And rightly so!
Most football nations have a golden era. At the moment it's the turn of the Spaniards.
Brazil have been producing top notch international sides for generations. Always there, or thereabouts.
No other nation can make this claim.

Best team I've seen from footage was Brazil 1970. As for seeing in person well Brazil 1982, France 1984, Denmark 1984 and 1986, Argentina 1986 and Holland 1988 were hard to beat for pure excitement. Since 1990 we have more or less seen teams use tactics and with a far heavier emphasis on stamina. What made these teams outstanding to watch is that they had some of the best players of all time, who basically dazzled on the pitch, Zico, Platini, Laudrup, Maradona and Van Basten. Spain for all their qualities don't have players like this in their current team. In fact the best Spanish team I've ever seen was the one that played at WC 1986 when they had Michel, Martin Vasquez, Gordillo and Butragueno and one of the meanest backlines ever in Camacho, Maceda and Goicochea (the butcher of bilbao) What I'm getting at, is that players had greater personalities on the pitch than that of today. The current Spanish team is super efficient and the finest product of the way the game is played today.

yes, brasil 1970 have more special players, spain, just casillas, xavi and iniesta. Although now you have more proefssional clubs, better atheletes so cannot compare. But just for football and innovation Brazil 1970 was the greatest team ever, too many innovators will never be bettered
