Also it's worth keeping in mind that in 120 minutes of football Italy werent good enough to beat us. You can analyse the performance but that is a fact. I don't think you can say Italy weren't good enough to beat us just 'cause they didn't convert the many chances they had. They hit the post at least once, or was it twice, and missed a couple of sitters. They were generally speaking...technically easily 'good enough' to beat us just as Barcelnoa and BM were easily 'good enough' to beat Chelsea. Funny old game as they say!

I've decided to take the advice of Flyingpig437 and Goofle11 into the domestic season.

Instead of getting behind my team and hoping that we win promotion again i'm going to get a Swindon Town season ticket, go onto the terraces every week and start chanting 'You're playing at the right level and won't go any higher, you're playing and won't go any higher'.

Seriously, there's nothing more boring than being lectured to about supporting a team by someone who supports some team who wins something almost every year.

I know England have limitations, hoping they play well isn't delusional, that's what real supporters do every week.

Look. I'd have loved it if we'd have scraped through although I'd have still said we didn't play well. Just 'cause I think we played **** and usually do doesn't mean I want them to lose or anything. I'm just being honest!

Um, yes I can. This is what I mean. This is what I meant when I said you can over-analyse. You're thinking outside of the box and thinking in hypotheticals. You're analysing the squads, the strengths, the weaknesses and asking yourself who you think should win when the reality is it just happened, they just met, and in both 90 minutes and 120 minutes of football the Italians, even if they were the better side overall, werent good enough to beat us.

As a stat that just tells me Italy's forwards are 5 times worse than Englands.

Technically you right I guess but in a broader sense they were good enough to beat us.
