It was actually a great match, England just outscored Sweden, if they qualify from the group which I think is very likely they need to improve drastically when they meet the likes of Spain, Italy or Croatia.

However, I think anyone is going to have problems facing Spain. They look to be well on course for the triple, and are definitely the team to beat.

It's kind of a moot point though because unless Croatia beat Spain (Unlikely) or England thrash Ukraine (Again Unlikely) England will be meeting Spain in the next round and I don't think there's any shame in giving the tournament favourites a good game & losing.

I think your Italian friend is losing the plot. They are the best Italian team I have seen in recent memory. Even the team that won the World Cup was worse, just incredibly fortunate.

I really enjoyed the England game, what a finish from Andy Carroll, maybe he is actually that good, and nobody's noticed it until now.
Also, Welbeck's goal was quality too, what a touch! Walcotts goal though, the **** was the keeper thinking? I'd love to hear his excuse for that. Also enjoyed Olof Mellbergs performance, the bearded dude still has it. |
