I think they are a good team no doubt, with a few very food players. They got smashed by Spain in the last tournament after looking decent.

They were beaten by the winner and then future world champions, that still made them the second or third best team of euro 2004. Most of the team that played there are here for euro 2012 too.

Why do you think their team is worse now? To me it looks on the same level, especially since they are unbeaten for like over a year.

I just think they aren't as good as what they were. No huge reason. Holland, Spain, Germany, Portugal and England are all superior teams.

As you know, I don't rate England that highly, but their recent showings prove they can play effective football.

Greece played effective football today and nearly stole the show. But its teams like Russia that light up a tournament like the Euros, Eastern European teams have the ability to do that. Old Yugoslavia (Serbia and Croatia) Romania and Russia have done it over the years, ever since I first started watching football in the 1980s, what they always lacked was grit and resilience when it really mattered, but they provide skillful and tactical football.
