That's like saying CAD is a sport. Most people can't execute what I do on a daily basis.

Yeah but even then the astonished commentators would probably let an uninformed viewer know that what happened was utterly jaw-dropping. Or at least that's what I was hoping when I posted that video haha

But it doesn't take an unreal level of mechanics and quick thinking. Many people could train to become good at CAD but it takes something really special to be able to play League of Legends that well. Just like it takes something really special to be able to hit a 99 MPH fastball.

Over the years, i've come to the opinion that they can be considered a sport. Would I go out and saying "yeah, I play sports" when all I do is sit inside a play video games? No, I wouldn't. But would I say someone who does this sort of thing competitively and makes money from it isn't playing a sport? No. There are pretty legitimate reasons as to why it could be considered a sport, but the doubt is perfectly understandable.

Lots of people can't do lots of things. That point is irrelevant, what matters is the skills that are necessary to consider something a sport. Most people argue video games are not sports because they don't need any sort of physical prowess. My question for them is: why are dexterity and reflexes included when considering some traditional sports but excluded for professional gamers?

Nope.

noun

1. an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.
It's what the game creators want you to think. They'll keep perpetuating the argument, and people will keep sending them money.

Are you actually reading my posts. I read yours, please give me the same respect by reading mine.

Literally twice I've said eSport is it's own category and shouldn't be classified alongside physical sports

I also find using definitions in an argument such as this is a poor way to argue.
