Agreed. If nothing else, calling gaming a sport is kind of a slap in the face to real athletes. I'm still not sure the reason why any gamer would want gaming to be considered a sport. Again, I assume a deep-seeded jealousy of some sort for that motive.

Can I make the request that you actually provide some sort of logical reasoning as to why that is the case, rather than acting childish and repeatedly stating what you believe as fact? The borderline mockery isn't becoming.

My main issue with this whole thing is that I can't think of any sport where you control a little character on a screen that does all the physical work for you by you simply pressing a few buttons.
Now if the gamers had to do that stuff for real, then I'd consider it a sport.

Pretty sure you're still assuming all sport is physical. Seems relevant to me. Of course, you could perhaps try to back up your position rather than making statements that rely on the same assumption nobody has thus far managed to prove.

No my point was is that a character on a screen does everything and can only do the things within the parameters of the game. Which is why I don't consider it a sport.
The day that someone in Soul Caliber pulls up with a hamstring from landing awkwardly in a fight is the day I consider it a real sport. Not because of the physical aspect but because until the games start to use ALL the real attributes of the person playing it in the game (all rather than just a few) I don't consider it to be a true sport.
