The Rams have decided to trade their 2nd overall pick and they've already been in discussions with the Dolphins, Redskins and Browns. So, it's pretty obvious that whatever team trades up will be selecting QB Robert Griffin III. With the Colts taking QB Andrew Luck first, that all but assures LT Matt Kalil falls to the Vikings. I couldn't be happier. Getting that stud LT is a great way to start the rebuild. He had a terrific combine as well.

Sounds about right. You can bet that the closer we get to the draft the asking price will go up. One of the guys on the NFL Channel (name escapes me) says to start with the Rams will want 2 number ones. And there will be more than that, I'm sure, about the package deal.
Thom makes a good point on Kalil. LT is SECOND most important position on offense. This dude is a monster! |

It'll be interesting to see if Allen is still on the team. They might want to shop him if they go into full rebuild mode. I don't want them to though. The guy's insane. Still can't believe he had that kind of season on that bad of a team.

They went to Indianapolis to negotiate with the colts staff.
They need to go into full rebuilt mode, they're a season overdue for it. There is already so much to fix it's ridiculous. The entire defensive secondary, entire offensive line, critical need of receiver. Not to mention AP's hamstring injury and whether his performance next year will be on par with before, we probably need another solid running back. Gerhart isn't athletic enough to be given lots of carries. |

Carlson and Rudolph has awesome potential as a TE duo, especially with a young QB looking for some security. Looks like the Vikes are looking at the TEs in New England as inspiration. Now to worry about getting some receivers...

I think the draft is good for a wide receiver. If we have some strong tight ends for a security blanket for ponder, we can put harvin in the slot finally, and then were actually decently well rounded with jenkins as a 3rd option.
I have a feeling that it's not going to be the same AP next season, and we wil finally be forced to transition into a passing team again. |
