Yep.
Honestly, what can you even say? Offense is what it is. Costly turnovers, blah blah blah. At least I can say they moved the ball somewhat effectively at times. What the defense did today (and even in the second half against the Saints) defies logic. I mean, at least against the Saints you can argue you have one of the better QBs of all time trying to stage a comeback on you, but how do you explain Nick Foles and the Eagles? This was a defense that was dominant and efficient against both the run and the pass equally. It was the perfect bend-don't-break group that had a historically strong 3rd down efficiency. Then today, Foles was throwing against them at ease (especially on 3rd down). Zero pressure, zero coverage, even Ajayi ran it efficiently on them when Foles wasn't dropping dimes on flea flickers. What happened? Their worst player Sendejo was banged up? What's the excuse? New low point for the Vikings, somehow, someway. I don't know how they did it but they did. |

The only good thing about getting clobbered like this is that it felt like we were going down as soon as Keenum threw the pick six. He used to have a problem with pick sixes in Houston, and it just felt, even though they only tied it and we were totally in it, that we were in for an ass whooping. When we came out doing the same **** as the first half, it was clear. I ain't gonna mope around or anything, this was a really great year. Don't get me wrong, I'm disappointed as hell and I'm bummed, but this didn't hurt like 2009 did.

These last 2 games... Man, some things never change. Classic Vikings ****ery vs. the Packers, but I don't even know what that game vs. the Bills was.
Rams and Eagles over the next 2 games, so let's see what this team is made of. |
