I think the tight end duo of chase ford kyle rudolph could be pretty cool, especially since teddy prefers the intermediate stuff. I'd like to continue the high picks on non special roles, nurture this young defense which is seeming poised-harrison smith, barr, griffen and shariff is coming on |

Relying on Patterson as a starting receiver was never a good idea. The guy is dynamite with a football in his hands, but it's so difficult to get the ball into his hands with his poor route running and hands. People were so hyped about him, but I don't see him as anything more than a guy you have to create specialty plays for, just like Harvin. Just because he's built like a prototypical receiver doesn't mean he is one.

Yeah, i say let him be the primary punt returner(make sherels back up) and kick return guy, use him as an occasional decoy or specialty play guy like Devin Hester.
I think he's made some good catches, had teddy hit him for the open play for a TD we might have a different outlook. |

Didn't really like the Wallace/Jennings "swap". Not sure how well Wallace is going to help out in the short/intermediate game, whereas Jennings was actually a pretty reliable receiver. I like the idea of Cooper or White in the draft, but there's no way either one slides to 11. I don't think Parker is worth taking that high, even though everyone and their mother has us taking him due to the Teddy connection. Waynes looks good to me though.

Seems like a good draft at first glance. Hit on almost all the big needs. Waynes and Kendricks look like they could be day 1 starters (not sure if they'll try Kendricks in the middle or at WLB), and I think Waynes in particular has a crazy amount of upside. Waynes, Rhodes, Smith and Blanton as the main pieces in the secondary going forward is awesome (jury is still out on Blanton, but he looked pretty good last year).
Very interested to see Clemmings. With Kalil struggling so much, it was great to find a tackle in the 4th round that is said to be capable of starting soon. They also added some insurance at tackle after that. Diggs seems intriguing as well. Really happy they didn't feel "forced" to take Parker. |

I totally forgot about Blanton - he was good for Zimmer's first season, but mostly as a tackler although he wasn't as hard hitting as Sendejo, I'm glad we made the right decision on that. Also, Diggs was the one who I was most curious about - everyone said he was an absolute steal and I think picked him in the 5th round of something crazy like that. After seeing him play three seasons, and especially after last night, it's pretty obvious that they were right. |

Sparky buddy, you still around? I would never jinx the Vikes, but this team is ****ing awesome to watch. Could not be happier to be a fan right now.

I mean, I feel like Zimmer is obviously the main catalyst in all of this, his coaching can't be overstated. He's obviously established a culture that was sorely lacking with this team, and his contributions on D speaks for itself. I also see some debate about what the Vikings should do at QB and cannot believe it TBH. I am completely on board with Keenum as the QB going forward. The best part of his game is that he isn't your typical game-managing back-up. He isn't afraid at all to throw intermediate or deep to Diggs or Thielen, and is more often than not successful. I did like Bradford's game in the time we saw him, but he can't be trusted. I was never fully on board the Teddy-train (all he really did was be a game manager), and he can't be trusted either. Keenum should be the obvious guy to bring back regardless of what happens this weekend and/or beyond. |

No doubt about Zimmer, he's been here for four years and has two division titles and his only really ugly year was last year where we looked like we were on the verge of becoming a top tier team before we were absolutely humbled, I think by the Eagles maybe even? We got stomped after that, but this year it's been totally different. No distraction with AP, the offensive line was massively upgraded, and Case makes all of the difference. I'm hoping we bring him back as well because he looks like an entirely different player here in MN.
