I doubt he's feeling too lucky in the first half....

^ He'll somehow get another chance, don't worry.
It's so painful to watch games like this. Reminds me of that playoff game 2 years ago against the Pack with Webb. Having a sub-par QB kills any chance you have of winning, but having a horrible QB makes a mockery of the game. There is just no way the Vikings offense is going anywhere tonight. |

When they said Ponder was going to be the starter, you kind of wonder if that wasn't a Rick Spielman decision rather than a Mike Zimmer/Teddy Bridgewater decision. I know they said that they wanted to avoid what happened to RG3 happening to Teddy Bridgewater, but to assume that that's what's going to happen, or even believe that it's likely considering their playing styles, I think is a bit too cautious.
It kind of reminds me of the rules for pitchers in baseball. Stephen Strasberg wasn't even allowed to pitch in the postseason when the Nationals made it for the first time in the history of their franchise. They lost, but the FO stood by the decision despite criticism from the public. This rarely happened before science started making it's way into sports, but I guess in a way it's effective. It's also probably how the league will be almost completely stripped of it's physicality. |

that was one of the worst quarterback performances I've ever witnessed. His inaccuracy is bewildering. He just mentally doesn't seem to have what it takes. He looks worse than before.
I'm starting to wonder if Musgrave got a bad rep because of him. Perhaps those end-around's are literally the only thing ponder could do? I think we'll be ready to go next week. We clearly aren't a good enough team to win without ideal game planning. If we can stay .500 till the halfway, the second half looks to be much easier. |

I think Ponder, if anything, was made for his kind of conservative passing system. Very few deep passes, lots of screens, and even then Ponder had a tough time establishing any sort of rhythm other than briefly in two separate stints back in 2012. |

Ponder should consider CFL for a while?
anyway, predictions for this weekend? Detroit is such a wild card team its hard to judge. I think we bounce back, play competitively but make a couple crucial errors late that put the game just out of reach. I hope im wrong. We play buffalo, washington after. Nows the time to get a win streak going Feel pretty awful for AP.Admitting while in court you "smoked a little weed"....man, in a texas court too. It was looking like the trial may have even been moved to nov. Still hopeful for him returning for a late season playoff push and shaking off the horde of sensationalist naysayers |

Teddy is legit. Blitzes are not effective against him which is dope.
More concerned with Patterson honestly, both receiving and special teams. Seems like something that should work itself out but there is always the possibility it doesn't. |

Hard to feel bad for AP after seeing the pictures of what he did to his kid. And those pics were taken a week after the beating. Can't imagine how bad he looked and how much pain he was in immediately afterwards.
Spoiler for Brutal.:

Patterson sucks from the shoulders up. He can't get in sync with anyone it seems, and he only really seems to understand getting the ball in space. Maybe we should get Harvin if he's released and then go after a #1 in the draft.
