Looks like we took care of linebacker in the 4th. Don't know much about him but he seems like a good pick. Apparently he excels in coverage, which is a bonus. Mayock was saying he has starter potential although I'm not sure if that means this year or down the road.
Not really a fan of going after Urlacher; I think he's pretty much done. Rumours are that we're going to deal Gerhart. We haven't drafted anyone to replace him yet though, and the pickings are slim. |

i don't mind some type of veteran presence on our d outside the line though
i think urlacher could do okay with limited snaps, he know the tampa 2 as good as anyone. maybe they feel comfortable with matt asiata. the way our o-line handles the run i think anyone could be at least adequate, hopefully. I could see them running a lot of end arounds to patterson seeing as how he might be an ineffective route runner for next year. Splitting some carries with felton/ellison may prove okay as well. |

You think the Vikings suck; try liking the Seahawks and the Browns, haha. The latter came up big, honestly, getting some really solid additions.
My Chargers, as I feared they might, picked up Te'o...who is talented, but a liability. He also looked much better with his team and with the Chargers current roster, may just look like a scrub if nothing else, his rookie season. He could be great, but I'm not optimistic about that choice. The Vikings got a solid DT and cornerback outta their draft thus far, but I think Hodges is a very overrated linebacker. Wouldn't have been my choice.

^ I'll have to check that.
It would be really nice if Rhodes is the real deal. Cook has had his fair share of problems in the NFL, but if he can stay healthy, him and Rhodes could be a solid duo going forward. And with Smith in the backfield as well, it might not be the complete ****-show that we've been used to the past like 10 years. You see Jennings with Stephen A. Smith? It's basically Stephen A. grilling Ponder the entire time. Jennings holds up pretty well lol. |

judging by the highlights of one preseason game, I'd say the receiving corps has been effectively revamped. Patterson already making an immediate impact, and Burton--whos shown flashes in the past--is looking assimilated and capable latter option. If Jerome Simpson can manage to beat his man we should a decent rounded receiving group.
Still need to see Rhodes on the field. |
