Then a football thread is precisley the place where you should post your thoughts on the sport your not a fan of. That way we all benfit from your insight into the game, and furthermore can get a better grasp of why it is we ourselves even like the sport. I for one have benefited immensely from your recent post and encourage you to keep up the good work so as others may also benefit as well.

Wow, Stephens-Howling ran all over the defense today, and Ponder looked like absolute crap.
Oh well, the defense was actually solid overall, AP looked stellar, and the Vikings get a win. Does anyone here think they can or will finish above .500? I really can't wait to see how we play against Green Bay and Chicago, just to see if we're in over our heads. I at the very least walk away from this season with optimism, but beating the Packers and Bears is so much better. |

I dunno, I think we should win this one. The Bucs are weak against the pass, and, although they're strong against the run, we have AP. We just have to keep Jackson and Martin in check. Should be a good game. Quote:
Week 9 - at Seahawks (slight underdog) Week 10 - vs. Lions (should win) Week 11 - Bye Week 12 - at Bears (underdog) Week 13 - at Packers (big underdog) Week 14 - vs. Bears (slight underdog) Week 15 - at Rams (should win) Week 16 - at Texans (big underdog) Week 17 - vs. Packers (slight underdog) I think it'll be close, but would lean towards us doing it. 3 games we should win (although none are slam-dunks), 3 games we'll have a shot, and 3 games that'll be really tough to get a W in. We could get lucky with the Texans and Packers at the end of the season though, depending on where they are in the standings. |

I think we squeak in hopefully. It's not like ponder can have a worse game than that, and we still won, if that says anything.
Our defense didn't blitz once and came up with 7 sacks, our run game was great even though the cards always had an extra man in the box, and our special teams is getting in the end zone consistently(even if it got taken back yesterday). If we can do that we can beat anyone. |

Glad I helped! I always see a bunch of people hating on each others football teams on Facebook. Its ****ing ridiculous. Like 5 posts in a row when something happens. I hope you football fans realize that's annoying. But whatevs. Everybody has their own thing. At least there's always beer involved.

I agree that there's no game I'm going in saying they can't win, even vs. Chicago or Green Bay. Hopefully Ponder regains form, because better teams should beat us when our QB is only getting 55 yards. |

^ I'm also really impressed with Walsh. I always thought Longwell was one of the best kickers in the league even though he didn't have a big leg because he was so accurate and, more importantly, unbelievably clutch. But now with Walsh, he can actually make long field goals and he's demonstrated his accuracy and clutch ability as well. Still though, Longwell was such a money kicker and it sucks to lose him. I never had any doubts about him missing a kick within 50 yards. |
