I remember watching that Boise State game which was amazing to see. I could not beleive the ambition those guys had to win that game and the passion to overcome the adversity. Being the small school under dogs and fighting their way to the top was a sight to see for sure. Goes down in the history books as one of the top 10 college games of all time imo. Terrific choice to place in this thread. As for the Giants-Patriots game I couldnt have been more disgusted. First of all im not an eli fan at all and the Giants are division rivals. Second of all I had money on the Pats to win the game and lost. Im not sure if it was my deep seeded dislike for the giants and eli persuaing my football intellect. Or if im just a fan of Brady and Bellichek and wanted to see the Dolphins 14 and 0 super bowl record shattered. Or just the combo of both that drove me to pick the Pats over the Giants. Either way they came out victorious and won the game. So its water under the bridge now. |

The Tyree catch is one of the biggest catches in NFL history. Watching that game it just seemed to me like the Pats weren't into the game and weren't playing hard or something. I don't know, they seemed disinterested considering it was the Superbowl. I'm not an Eli fan either and was rooting for the Pats in that game but I was glad to see a classic superbowl. It's still hard to imagine how Tyree caught that ball with roid-rager Rodney Harrison crushing his arms like that. Tyree has always been like a bench WR but he'll always be remembered now. Oh man I forgot about that Jason McElwain thing. That gives me chills to watch. One of the coolest things to happen ever. Who would ever think he would score a basket let alone start raining threes like Reggie Miller lol. That's just such an awesome story and something that nobody involved will ever forget Man, I can't find this one video on youtube that I wanna post. As a Mets fan, there aren't a lot of great memories that have happened in my lifetime, but one of them is the 1999 walk-off home run that backup catcher Todd Pratt hit in the NLDS Vs the Diamondbacks to win the series. That was so awesome. |

I felt terrible for AP during that game, but that has to be considered the greatest football game ever.
This doesn't rank up there all-time obviously but it was probably (tied for) the best thing I've seen live: The other best thing was these two things, when I went down to Boston: History in the making And my favourite player making a ridiculous play And to cap it off the Bruins clinched a playoff spot with that win. |

Kobe sucks, I don't know why I'm the only one who see's that. He's a terrible team player.
David Tyree's "Helmet Catch" is the most exciting moment in sports history I can remember. Now, I'm an avid Packers fan, but I'm also an avid Patriots hater. Seriously, I will wear a Hawaiian shirt to Tom Brady's funeral type of sh*t. Anyway, that catch, had a whole season leading up to it. I mean, everytime the Patriots got into trouble ALL SEASON, they would get bailed out by luck or bad calls. EVERYTIME... Then, here comes this 5th string WR comes in and runs a route against the dirtiest secondary in football history, the bastard little brother of almighty Peyton shakes away 2 (count them, 2) would be sackers, steps back, grabs his ****... and HEAVES the ball at a Tyree that seems to be about 16 feet in the air for about 12 seconds before the ball got there... he makes the catch, one handed against his helmet. Sets up the winning score. Giants win. David 1 - Goliath 0. Greatest play I've ever seen.

Also,
I know no one watches the Olympics anymore, but... At this moment, as per usual, the rest of the world had America's pee-pee in it's mouth. Suck on that world.
