Agreed to a point. You have people like TO/Ocho/Deon/Favre, a very minuscule amount of players that do these things, then the media explodes on them and leaves people wanting more. It is like wrecks in Nascar, people love entertainment and reality TV these days. You give an attention whore a little attention and they want more.

Hockey is so wholesome and raw still, but it is heading in the same direction slowly. They are now starting to become more concerned with head shots, elbows etc...There is a lot more marketing going on to promote hockey. All in all, I think it is a good thing, but seeing the changes that have taken place in football throughout my life scares the shit out of me when it comes to hockey.

Gotta blame that **** on Bettman. Fuckin guy is trying to change the sport. Hence why there are so few teams in Canada. He doesnt wanna do what works, he wants to be a hero and try to make it huge in stupid placeslike Phoenix, Florida, and Atlanta. How about Quebec City, Winnipeg, and Hamilton. 3 easy cities that would fill 18,000 seats all 41 home games. I also see where you're coming from though in the way that a few bad apples seem to be spoiling the whooole bunch.
