Cabaye out for Adam Johnson this morning.
Cabaye is quality, despite playing for the Mags, but I'm hoping for big things from a Sunderland midfield of Johnson, Sessegnon, McClean, Larsson and Cattermole feeding Fletcher. Today could be a real tough one at Swansea though. |

Holy crap! Andy Carroll! Is it something about Liverpool? Can hardly get a game while with them, makes little impression really, and the first day he's transferred he may not have scored but he revitalised West Ham and just about made all their goals! Seems as soon as someone leaves the Reds they do really well.
Torres? Sorry? Not familiar with that name....

Newcastle played to his strengths, with Nolan and Barton providing for him, stretching defences and always looking to get balls in towards him. Liverpool didn't play to Carrolls strengths and he's taken a lot of stick for struggling infront of goal.
Yesterday West Ham were always looking to get balls in the box and up towards Carroll from deeper areas and he had a great game. He won most of them in the air, was able to knock a few down for team mates in the box and looked a real threat. Linking up with Nolan again can't hurt his performances either as the two have an understanding and know each other very well. When they were on Tyneside they even shared a house together. Everything Nolan does, often off the ball, benefits Andy Carroll. He drags defenders away, makes a real nuisance of himself from set pieces and corners by standing infront of and disrupting goalkeepers and defenders and all the while trying his best to ensure that Carroll finds that extra little yard of space. |

You're right of course, but don't Liverpool have a history of doing that: playing people out of position? Such a shame Carroll has now been injured, looks like he'll be out for longer than was originally expected. Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory! Not literally of course: WH won, but will they be the same next week without their big talisman?

Well, I did well. Not. Krul as my captain, fecker concedes, TO VILLA! Williams slips and lets in a goal, only Michu and Toure scored for me. You'd think between Ba (you were playing VILLA! VILLA!), Bent and Nasri ONE of them would have found the net, but no...
Not a good weekend for the White Cats. Again.

Feck it, I have to show SOME loyalty to my team! And of the eleven on the pitch, Bent was the least likely to score in his own goal, which is about the best you can hope for with Villa. Wonder whatever happened to Marcus? I bet they hated it when one got the headlines over the other: BENT TURNS GAME AROUND IN INJURY TIME! NO, NOT THAT ONE! THE OTHER ONE!
