Watched in the UEFA cup as well. Look, I'm not denying that he's a great player, but if he can't perform when it matters, what's the point of keeping him?
It's really overdue for England to realize that they're not a great team. You haven't won the World Cup in 44 years, yet you still expect victory in every tournament. The sooner you lower your expectations, the sooner you can start enjoying the games. (That's not to say that they shouldn't have beat Algeria.)
