Brazil 0-0 Portugal, and easily the most boring football I've watched in a long, long time. Alan Green got it spot on calling it an apology of a match.
Surely this evening's games are gonna be better than that. If I were Spanish, Swiss or Chilean, I'd really fancy my chances against Brazil in the second round on that showing. |

My central defenders on FF = Alves and Lucio.
So I'm happy. Not so happy about the fact there's 55 minutes of my life I'll never get back (I watched the first half at work and then the last 10 minutes at home) Seemed like a shit came, or disappointing anyway. |

Fortunately I was working on various other stuff with the 5live stream on, so at least I had other shit to do. I heard that that game was the only sellout of this world cup so far - I feel sorry for all 65,000-odd of whoever paid to watch it. Those boos at the final whistle were well-earned.

Portugal vs Brazil is always a glamour tie.. what a let down it seemed to be. I was really pissed off I missed it, I thought it should've been at 7.30 but meh, I'm not fussed. Roll on Sunday |

As a lot of people who may have read my remarks here of late may have realised, I can't bloody wait for it
As for Brazil, they haven't impressed me at all in the group stages, and unless they improve drastically they really won't be a threat in this competition at all. Consider my earlier 'Brazil to win it' comment earlier in this thread (or wherever I posted it) officially retracted! |

In other news; BBC Sport - Football - World Cup 2010: Germany fret over Schweinsteiger And according to what my neighbour told me a few minutes ago, he's definitely out for the England game. I won't believe it 'til I see it confirmed by the BBC though. Either way, I like that omen |

I'm not that convinced by Brazil either.
It may have something to do with 2 Man City rejects in their frontline. I don't know if it's just familiarity but they just don't have the aura of Brazil teams of the past.

Not to mention that professsional flop known as Julio Baptista as well. Only Luis Fabiano looks like a dangerous player to me - a far cry from the old Ronaldo-Rivaldo-Ronaldinho forward line of yesteryear.
