Well, its the best squad they have had for a long time i feel. I dont see them getting much further but the way the next round has been drawn, they actually have a winnable fixture against Ghana and therefore a chance of making the quarters. Whereas they dont have as good a squad as we do and were very lucky to get a draw against us, i have to admit that they deserve to top the group and im glad they went through. They have a good chance of progressing further than we do as well, with English fixtures against Germany and then a probable quarter final against Argentina as reward for the winner to come. This is why i was holding out hope for the Aussies and Ghana yesterday and why im still holding onto some hope for Slovakia and New Zealand wins today. Its highly unlikely that this will happen but with the way things have been going, who knows? |

They can still turn this group on its head yet but its looking good so far. If it stays as it is now then a goal from New Zealand puts them through into the next round AND top of the group!

On another note, good luck New Zealand - I'd love it if they pull through as well. |
