Nice work Serbia All of a sudden the prospect of England-Germany in the last 16 doesn't seem so scary anymore. Still a good side, but even before Klose got sent off, they didn't really cut through the Serbian backline as they did so easily against the Aussies.

Now, if only a US win could be followed by a comfortable English victory, I'll go to sleep a happy man tonight.

I'm not sure how to read the times for matches because I don't know what zone they are operating from. So is the US game on at 4 pm (EST) or 9 pm for the brits?

It's a 3pm GMT start for US-Slovenia, and they're about 5 minutes into the game. You're guys are making a pretty good start as well.

England-Algeria's 7:30 (2:30pm EST...I think). Fortunately I've just about managed to weasel my way out of work for it.

Germany have probably been the luckiest side in world football over the last 15 years or so, often reaching finals by riding their luck with what is often an average bunch of players albeit with great professionalism and grit......today their luck run out with Klose`s ridiculous sending off and a missed penalty and they were very unlucky, but I`m happy that they were unlucky I would also love to say auf wiedersehen to them if Ghana can manage to beat them in their final match!

Serbia should have put them to the sword with the quality of players that they have, instead of just trying to defend the match out, luckily they had a defender of Vidic`s quality to lead the back line.

You and everyone else I know. Everyone that works from home is pretending they're on a call and watching the game.

I've already scheduled in my **** off for the day so I'll have to wait for briefings

Not looking so good anymore - Slovenia have just scored an absolute belter. I reckon you'll get something from this game though. The team just need to settle into their stride a bit.

I'd love to see Ghana beat Germany, but I doubt it'll happen - I'm still not convinced Ghana are that good a side, no matter what the media think.

Shame Serbia couldn't turn it up a few notches against the Germans, as you say. Would've been nice to see them lose 2 or 3-0, as they probably should've done.

I suppose, although it'd be easier for us to top the group if Slovenia lose this one. Plus I think it'd be kinda cool if the US went through with us. They're looking pretty uncomfortable at the moment, but if Donovan can get more of the ball I think they'll easily get something from this one.

Wow. That yellow card on Findley was just ridiculous. It seemed like the ref was just calling a tight game until then.

2-0 Slovenia at half-time. Ouch!

I still think if the US tighten up at the back, havi Dempsey and Altidore make some good runs and get the ball to Donovan as much as possible, there's still something up for grabs.

Terrific goal by Birsa to get things started as well. Easily the goal of the tournament so far.
