I saw the first 15 minutes of South Africa/Mexico and felt strongly that Mexico should've been able to dominate, especially because SA is pretty much there only because they're hosting. How they tied 1-1 I may never know. The entire time I watched SA couldn't get the ball across midfield.
I also watched the last 25 minutes of Uruguay-France and loved it. Great conclusion. Love the defensive style Uruguay played, and how hard they worked. France just looked nervous and tense the whole time. They got a free kick 92:30 in and didn't even get it on the net.

France should stop ruining the game like that. They did the same thing last World Cup. They tied in all their first matches, and then miraculously won the fourth game... and somehow got to the Finals.

Those vuvuzelas are getting on my nerves already
France were awful tonight and shame SA couldn't get the win. They played really well in the 2nd half. Great goal too.

I've been watching him play for Ajax over the course of last season and he's a goal machine. Not even a glimpse of his ability tonight. On the other hand, Forlan looks to be Uruguay's only hope. How bland was France? |

I predicted France and Argentina to flop this tournament. So no surprise with how bad France were. |

If England are crap tomorrow you can bet your ass I will pick up on them too. I don't want to be bowled over with goals galore in each game (actually I probably do lol) but you should hit the ground running in the World Cup and every match is scrutinised and 'generally' a barometer of future performance. Put simply if Frances manager (Domonech) continues to play people out of position and have a lack goals then they will be out. Simple really. You can only say a match is boring AFTER you have watched it and not before , so you have to watch it in the first place and then make a judgement!
