No! Paraguay must win. Easier game for the Germans.

The Germans sure do look tough to beat. Who woulda thought they were going to dominate the Argentinians? Another surprise are the Dutch. It look liked a few weeks ago that the South American teams would dominate, but they are starting to fall by the way side.

The Paraguay and Spain match suddenly bursts into life! Paraguay miss a penalty at one end, Spain go straight up the other end and get a penalty of their own. Alonso scores it just to be made to take it again, when it was saved and in the scramble for the rebound Fabregas was fouled for what should have been another penalty except the ref didnt see it.
The ref should have given a red card for the Spanish penalty but didnt. He disallowed Alonso's goal but didnt make Paraguay take their penalty again for the exact same offence. He's not having a good night! Amazing stuff though. |

And they didn't even need the lino to help them out either
Seriously though, brilliant performance from Germany - really didn't see a 4-0 win coming. And even if I nearly fell asleep during the first half, incredible game between Spain and Paraguay, home to three of the most bizarre minutes I've ever seen in a football match. Overall, that was such a sensational bunch of quarter finals. Hope the semis get as good as that as well. |

I'm happy for the victory, but I don't understand why Del Bosque (the manager) insists on playing with Torres, and why included Cesc Fábregas (the Arsenal midfielder) so late. Despite that we won the match, because fortunately we have an angel as a goalkeeper and a demon as a striker.

If you knew what things they could do... In the 1990 World Cup, during a match against Brazil, an Argie offered Brazilian player Branco a water bottle.... with a sedative!!

I hope it's a Holland vs Germany final with Holland winning the tournament.
Aside from the fact the Dutch hate the Germans even more than the English & there's a shitload of bad blood between them it'll make for a really entertaining game. And I think the Dutch deserve a world cup win for what they've given to the game throughout history.
