I didn't see the whole game, but Spain looked really good today. I felt like they dominated the whole game even though the score doesn't reflect it. They never really let Portugal posess the ball long enough to do anything.

Spain are the masters of keeping the ball.

Says it all really, but it was the substitution of Llorente that helped convert their possession dominance into a goal.

At last I see reliable signs of recovery!! And making the rival feel queasy with all those passes, which sometimes is exasperating to them.

I'd like Argentina to be eliminated, and someone has to do that hard (although finally satisfactory) job. My first thought was: "it will be better if Germany does it in quarter-finals". But thinking about a hypothetical semi-final, I'm not clear about it. Maybe the junkie manager's team is not as fierce as they say, and perhaps is a better rival for Spain. I really don't know....

Any reason why you don`t like Argentina? Also, calling him a junkie manager is just not the thing you do on a music forum

When it comes to football, the arrogance, mockery and hatred of the Argie fans are absolutely unbearable. And this WC they've been especially aggressive with us, since the first match against Switzerland. They deserve a painful defeat.

Regarding Maradona... well... everybody knows...

Should you ever meet Argentina in this world cup, I doubt they'll afford your midfield the time, or the space, to play your short passing game.
I know Tevez will chase down your centre backs and your defensive midfielder's, mercilessly for the full 90 minutes.
I believe Argentina are possibly the only team capable of knocking Spain out.

With my track record, you can thank me later.
