Yeah, the lack of Rangers and subsequently Old Firm derbies and competition for the title will in my view more or less end scottish football in a matter of years.
Celtic will move into the English league, and the SPL will resemble it's Welsh and Irish counterparts with the countries premier divisions being made up of part time players and crowds of a couple hundred. |

Never going to happen, it's just a pipe dream by some of the bigger clubs.
For Celtic to be accommodated into the Premier League you'd be looking at relegating 4 teams and only allowing 3 of those teams the chance to come back up the following season. Those same teams that will be threatened by that relegation will be the ones that get a vote on whether Celtic are allowed into the league. If you're a Wigan, a Reading or a QPR the only benefit of Celtic being allowed in is you'll probably have 1 bigger gate a season. Other than that the more likely scenario is you lose your Premier League status and there's one less space for you to get back in. Any Premier League club that finished any lower than 6th last season would basically be signing a death warrant if they let Celtic into the league, and that's why it'll never happen.

I'm all for the Old Firm sides joining the English league, they shouldn't be allowed to enter straight into the Premiership however. They should be on standby to take the place of any club that goes out of business, (I'm looking at you Portsmouth).
