And 11th, don't forget to mention that part.

I'm pretty happy with my team overall. I think I did a good job of gettting the best players available at the time when my picks came up. I also didn't take all day to pick, like some people. DIRTY.

I'm changing my fantasy name to "long balls larry".

I can dig it.

debaserr 09-05-2011 11:13 PM

The more I watch that show the more I love it.

richie1 09-07-2011 09:30 PM

I'm very happy with my starting RB's and WR's. Not crazy about my QB's, but can rotate them based on match ups. Also have a couple sleepers on my bench. Maybe a stud, maybe a dud.... We'll see starting tomorrow night.
I start the season against Dirty. I'll make him pay for the slow draft picks!

YorkeDaddy 09-11-2011 08:23 PM

To anyone that was brave enough (or crazy enough) to use Cam Newton...I hope you enjoyed your ridiculous amount of points.

pourmeanother 09-11-2011 10:32 PM

It looks like only one or two teams will outscore me this week, unfortunately played one of those two. Hats off to the Jew.

Electrophonic Tonic 09-14-2011 11:35 PM

How does it feel to be in some place that's not first, guys?

crash_override 09-15-2011 01:09 AM

I see eric generic has been paying attention to the waiver wire. Also, ESPN fantasy tips.

Sitting at number 2, feel pretty confident, I am expecting a big week this week as things start to settle down.

debaserr 09-15-2011 01:50 AM

I haven't been checking ESPN, but I always keep track of waivers. I hope Foster rips his hamstring in half.

People have been saying Foster was a draft bust since the lockout.

debaserr 09-15-2011 11:34 AM

The Texans can run block.

debaserr 09-21-2011 08:40 AM

I finally pulled the plug and grabbed Cam Newton. Josh Freeman has been averaging 250yd and 1td, that's not gonna cut it. Cam runs too, so let's see how this goes. He's my starter for now, but I'm probably going to get burned.

The Panthers are just throwing him to the wolves. They gave him the option to pass or run 49 times in week 1 and 60 times in week 2. That's a massive workload for anyone, let alone a rookie in his first two games. This guy defines boom or bust.

debaserr 09-21-2011 11:36 AM

With that many reps I'm pretty sure he's going to continue to produce as long as he's not injured.

Electrophonic Tonic 09-21-2011 07:01 PM

We'll see how it works eric.

But it looks a nice balanced league, only 1 team each with zeros in the W/L column. Maybe some teams will begin to separate themselves as time goes on.

It's a good move. Personal feelings of hatred towards the scumbag aside, he's going to be a productive fantasy player this season. In real life football he's not going to be a winning QB, but any quarterback who runs and airs it out to Smith as much as he does is going to produce well in fake football.

Snu Snu? Jelly of your huge points numbers dude. You've doubled your opponents.

debaserr 09-21-2011 09:40 PM

Now if Chris Johnson starts being himself my team might be OK...

captaincaptain 09-22-2011 09:10 AM

It's not fair, I have the 2nd most points, but dead last. Stop having good games against me people.

Electrophonic Tonic 09-26-2011 05:44 PM

The old: Pay Them Bills scores the 2nd most points this week.

The new: He actually wins!

Hooray! Who needs Antonio Gates anyways?

YorkeDaddy 09-27-2011 04:13 PM

I've come to the conclusion that the foolproof way to win every single week is to just have the entire Patriots offense as your fantasy team. Who cares what your defense is? Even if you get negative points from your D/ST, you'll still be winning by like 60 just because of how the Pats played.

I hate them.

Um, except during their bye week.

I'm 3-0 and only have one of their players...

Just sayin! :p:

Having 4 interceptions really bogs down your QB's score.

pourmeanother 09-28-2011 07:14 PM

0 Pats. 0 Bills. 2nd place. Must be a miracle.

And someone dropped Gronkowski?!?!

debaserr 11-03-2011 06:06 PM

Combined in my three leagues I'm exactly .500

So, let's take a look at the assholes who decided not to play this year:

Peyton Manning (OK OK, not an ass)
Jamaal Charles
Chris Johnson
DeAngelo Williams (I drafted him in the 4th+ round thinking I was getting value...)
Dallas Clark
Rashard Mendenhall (I should have seen this coming, he got so many reps last year)
Antonio Gates

Contrast that with my big waiver guys:

Ben Tate (Was good at the start, I'm crossing my fingers that Arian pulls something)
Michael Bush (McFadden is dinged up, he could start really producing)
Cam Newton
Tebow
A.J. Green (between Cam and him for steal of the year)
DeMarco Murray (I wish)

This is the only name that really needs to be said. He was a lock for a top 3 RB on every draft board, and he's putting up numbers that would be underwhelming for a back-up. I can't imagine how frustrated his owners must be.

I've never liked this guy as he's clearly only a me-first type of player and he's showing it again this year calling out his offensive-line. Seriously? Man-up and take some blame. He was gifted with one of the best O-lines in the league, and definitely the best Tackle-duo in the league and now he's bitching about it because he can't do anything unless he's provided with complete open field so he can be the track-star he should have been.

And I don't think it's a coincidence this is happening after he signed that mega-deal. I can definitely see him coasting on this.

I feel I've got the luck going my way this year. Somehow I avoided most of the busts in both of my leagues, and in both leagues I targeted Fred Jackson and Ryan Fitzpatrick heavily. Ryan Fitz has been a nice fill in since my dumb ass took Peyton... haven't missed a beat.

Sooner or later you gotta Pay Them Bills.

Cam's Laptop Sales, you are the bane of my existence. You do have some awesome sales on your laptops though.

pourmeanother 12-21-2011 08:27 PM

Great Christmas deals on used laptops! Minor wear and tear from "fall" from moving vehicle.

Good match, chap. 0.58 pts between champ or consolation game appearance.

captaincaptain 12-21-2011 10:06 PM
