haven't paintballed in years but it's great fun when you have the right group of people and a field operator who isn't some hick moron trying to scam money from city folk. (only happened at 1 of the 3 places i've played)
personally i loved single shot pistols over the semi-autos all my friends got excited for. there's something far more fulfilling about sneaking up close enough to make a single shot count than it is to randomly spray paint from your side while running or from over a tree while you duck and take cover and getting 'kills'. |

I don't have the cajones to play paintball, hurts too damn much.
I like airsoft though!

i also find it best to play in the spring or fall, especially when the air starts cooling down due to the running involved and the layers you usually wear, and with 2-3 layers of clothing getting 'shot' usually only hurts enough to know you've been hit. mind you, getting shot in the neck, hands, or head... that hurts hahaha. hands are actually the most painful shots. |

When I went paintballing it was lots of fun, like mr dave said they provided protective overalls to wear over our clothing, and full head helmet/masks things, but regardless it does still hurt when you get hit and the next day I did have a few small bruises in some places where I'd been hit! But really, it doesn't heard enough to be bothered by it. It's lots of fun.

I was actually paintballing last Saturday morning in the dead of winter with a hangover, I must say. It was awesome! We played in some ex-bunkers that were made by the military. It was immense, I felt like I was in CoD . I didn't get the meaty bruises this time, but my first time paintballing I had millions of the things!

Last summer me and my friends where really into it, I had a Tippmann 98 special and a V-Force Profiler for a mask. We would play woodsball in my friends backyard real late at night and we'd put twists on the games and such like whoever wasn't playing would shine a spotlight around it was real stealthy and fun.
I remember we got the cops called on us once because the neighbors thought we were playing with real guns. In regards to ho wmuch it hurts it really depends where you get shot, I got hit in the neck once and it killed, I'd get welts here and there but it's not enough to make me want to stop. Getting shot in the fingers is pretty bad too. Really rewarding when you hit someone else though, especially when you use a pump gun or some other single shot. So much fun but it's not cheap to play. |
