Martial arts are one of the greatest things you can do, they will teach you many things about yourself.

A guy I grew up with who fights pro is a blackbelt in shotokan.. Dude is a BEAST.. He lacks a well-rounded game though.. Is Kyokushin considered TMA? That stuff is sick..

I've been training for an upcoming MMA bout for 3 weeks now..In fact, I have practice in one hour.. I'm starting too feel my age though...my back is sore as hell..I've been taking awful cold baths after practice and it helps a lot..I was expecting to fight at 170 lbs but have been going through a lot of stress and lost almost 30lbs so I'll be fighting at 155..My cardio is definitely my weakness at this point...still trying to quit smoking..Have any of you guys competed in any combat sports? Not so much traditional "kumite" style tae kwon do, but something more full-contact? Boxing, kyokushin, muay thai, wrestling...?

Anyone catch that fight last night?

The first few fights were great, aside from little nog getting the undeserved nod over brillz. Duffee getting KTFO by Mussow I think his name was will go down in history. A fat guy getting his ass beat all fight by a roid head, then throwing one punch to knock him out. The Evans fight was pretty boring, but I guess judging by the fans I was the only one that thought he had it in the bag.

Agreed, I would have placed money on all those, but Quinton. That brit made Diego look ridiculous, and I loved it.

I have learn both Judo and karate(Shi To Ryu) during my school days. I used to practice Judo and karate both one hour in the morning and evening respectively. I left due to my further college studies.

I am hopefully about to earn my orange belt (3rd dan) in taekwondo. I don't have any strong feelings for it, but it's fun and I'm pretty good at it.
