My backhand slams usually go long. And I can't get much force behind them. My brother takes his finger off off the upper handle for backhands and gets so much power but i just cant do it. My slams are almost always forehand but I'm good at it. Do you use a pretty heavily padded paddle? Or those thin wooden ones?

I used to be sick but I haven't played in a long time. I played a very conservative game. My best strength was being able to return pretty much anything, so I just waited for the other person to screw up. The longer the rally, the more likely they are to try some crazy kill shot and screw up. I did the same thing in badminton.
