Lawson officially won't be playing for the first NCAA game. And it's unsure if he is going to play for the second. I wouldn't put UNC going that far if Lawson won't play.

pourmeanother 03-19-2009 04:41 PM

I'm always great at predicting the first round action, but I make some stupid fukin' predictions after that. Anyway, I was on the state of Washington's nuts this season. I've got both U-Dub and Gonzaga in my final four. The Huskies pressure, pressure, pressure, and pound the glass hard. They have a talented front court, and great guard play. Gonzaga is top 10 in efficiency both on offense AND defense- their defense is stifling.

I've got Washington over Missouri, Louisville over West Virginia, Pittsburgh over 'Nova, and Gonzaga over Oklahoma.

MIZZOU just one again. THey reign supreme. Wooooooooo!

ProggyMan 03-26-2009 10:27 PM

Well JJJ, won't be able to say until after it's all said and done, but I think I was right about Pitt.

Darkest Hour 03-26-2009 10:47 PM

mizzou is gonna beat everyone

ProggyMan 03-26-2009 11:43 PM

Memphis has 3 seed talent, they're not scaring anyone yet.

crash_override 03-30-2009 10:47 PM

Pitt ruined my life.

women's basketball? you mean they actually make you pay for tickets?

ProggyMan 04-08-2009 03:31 PM

I gather you've never actually watched it then?

It's really just not worth watching imo. It's like if I had the choice of watching an NBA game or a random Division III college game.

I watch WNBA all the time. I know almost all of the CT Sun because I work at the casino where they play and always have to fix stuff for them. The games are so awesome. I might actually like WNBA better. call me ***.

Girls college basketball is really difficult to watch.

I like the Women's college basketball better than the NBA, but less the the men's college game.

Probably cause you're a Warrior's fan ;)

In all seriousness though, I love the NBA, and the only issue I have with it is the restrictions on defense.

Hey, barring injuries we're a thousand times better than Dallas. With most of our key players under 25 it ain't so bad.

Ugh, I'm a big man guy and the way the league has consistently jacked up more 3's each year and the complete domination on the offensive end by perimeter players really ruins the game for me.

I just have issues with the defensive 3 seconds calls and such. You should be able to put 5 guys in the paint and force teams to jumpshoot. That would be fun to watch.

ProggyMan 04-09-2009 09:14 PM

Oh, I don't really care about that, it's not a viable strategy in this era of Mehmet Okur's and Dirk Nowitzki's. I just mean the limits imposed on physical perimeter defense.

anticipation 04-09-2009 09:35 PM

three of syracuse's starting five are in the draft this year?

there goes next season.

ProggyMan 04-09-2009 10:07 PM

Stanford will have 8 scholarship players next year...Cal won't lose a single player and adds the marvelous Bak Bak. Things couldn't be better.

dac 04-09-2009 11:38 PM

OSU may lose 3 to the draft :\

Mullins was a joke anyways, but Turner is the best player in the Big 10.

ProggyMan 04-10-2009 04:47 PM

It's Mullens and he's the most talented player in the draft, if I was an NBA team I'd take without hesitation.

Mullens was the single most passive 7 footer I've ever seen. He showed flashes at times, but nothing to warrant being picked over Tyler Hansborough and some of the other bigs.

ProggyMan 04-13-2009 08:24 PM

Hansbrough? Are you joking ,the only bigs I'd take over him are Hill, Thabeet and Griffin, and only because they're more of a sure thing.

Hansbrough at worst will be a solid bench player. Not a lot of upside, but you know what you're getting. BJ will be a bust, I promise.

Lol, BJ Mullens would be a bust if he turns out to be a solid bench player and nothing but, simply too talented to be anything less.

ProggyMan 08-20-2009 08:40 PM

Memphis stripped of wins...John Cal is laughing somewhere and listening to Bluegrass.

He'll do the same thin to Kentucky, it's too bad really. Those bumbs down there. Love them Rick Pitino and run Tubby SMith out of town

ProggyMan 08-20-2009 08:49 PM

Speaking of Tubby I love what's going on in Minnesota, they could break out this year.
