I separated my calf muscle from my achilles while running and stepping into a hole in some grass I didn't see. It took years to even gain a fraction of muscle back, but stairs and hills helped the most for me, just walking and throwing plastic at metal. I took it slow. No rush. Now, even though my left calf is smaller than my right, they're much bigger and in better shape than before the incident.

Jesus. You didn't see a doctor?
Also, what's "throwing plastic at metal" here?

No doc, no insurance. I've had quite a few injuries where I just PT'ed myself back into shape.
Disc Golf. Thats what throwing plastic at metal is. It helps to keep me motivated to get out and move around, and I'll hit the more mixed elevation courses as much as I can, like this little run on hole 16 at Dellwood: ![]()

*too
It's about $600 per month. Then there's the copays etc.. When I did a trial run of it, I went to get a check-up. I paid $50 for a copay to see the doc, he came in and rescheduled. I went again and paid another $50, and got the check-up, but he wanted to do some blood work, so I had to come back and yes pay another $50 copay. He then proceeds to tell me he forgot to send the bloodwork in so I'll have to come back another time. I said **** you. That's $750 for someone to tell me I'm healthy. No thanks.
