Oh I know. I walk a couple miles every day because I live close to work. I keep myself active very regularly. I just really loved running. I got to the point where I was rarely tired but feeling the burst of energy and I would just keep going longer and longer. The freedom also felt...free-er if that makes sense. I'm hoping my sciatica goes away sooner rather than later because I would love to run again. It hurts too much when I run now.

I am absolutely fascinated and mystified by a phenomenon I keep seeing in gyms all over, the Johnny Bravo types with incredible upper bodies and scrawny polio legs because all they ever do in the gym is work out their upper bodies. One of my friends told me once that he also doesn't work out his legs because "anyway, you can't really see them". Yes you can. Proven by the fact that most of these guys wear pants to the gym, since they also understand they look ridiculous. But even if you cover your tiny legs, what happens when you go to bed with someone? Or you have sex with your pants on also?
I don't get it, can someone shed some light on this? http://cairogyms.com/wp-content/uplo...ohny-Bravo.jpg |
I don't get it either. I take the opposite approach--I have very sexy legs.

It's a mixture of training only for vanity purposes, only having access to basic dumbbells and bench at home and training your legs being ****ing exhausting.

It's more effort though. And if you only have access to basic equipment it's really difficult. Plus if you're just training for selfies to post on Instagram who cares about your legs.
I don't agree with the people who only train their upper bodies but I understand. |

But anyway, very very strange behavior. |
There's the old adage: "Curls for the girls"
Meaning that men assume that women like big arms, so they focus only on that. Or maybe they're just stupid. |
I have a person in my office who goes to the gym and exercises ONLY his biceps. But ok, it's nowhere near the level of what some of these Bravo-types are doing.
