I've been running a lot more, every morning. That's really improved my cardio, and I guess it helps that I've cut my smoking down to a little less than two packs a week. It's a start.

I've also been working on more bodyweight exercises, and am overall pleased with my general level of fitness right now. I begin professional wrestling training on Monday, and I know a few other people who will also be training. Of those, I'm in the best physical shape, so I feel that I should do all right.

I've been using pretty standard whey protein, just curious if anyone buys into the pre-work out supplements that most health stores seem to be pushing at the moment.
I just do milk. Chocolate milk before working out, whole milk afterwords.

I quit going after I got my third horse so that I could put the time and money being spent there towards the cost of keeping another horse or else I would still be going. I still do yoga though.
What do you mean long muscles? I think, I understand what you mean, but could you elaborate?

^^^

actually, on some DVD commentary, Jackie Chan talks about (among other items) how he & his stunt crew try not get overly beefy as it reduces mobility/flexibility. Besides, I think anyone who has hard night of lifting feels the tightening of the muscles. So it certainly is true.

Today I did 30 minutes with trainer babe.... almost all of which was focusing on back, 'cuz I want to improve my posture. So.****ing.Sore. Then I did an hour of elliptical 6 hours later. If I don't sleep well tonight, life will suck.

Well, I'm hesitant to do martial arts. While I have yet to develop an exercise routine, as it were, I do kill about an hour a day in the gym. Unless I start seeing my gains plateau, or if I get a lot of free time/cash, I don't really see the need. Right now I'm still getting stronger, more flexible, & more posture has improved..... so, my goals are being met, & if they start to slow I'd probably just focus on developing a proper regimen before switching to something else.

That being stated, I do like the idea of improved coordination. Hmm.

edit:

Why did you stop doing martial arts then?

I work out everyday at our complex apartment gym for around 2 hours. I'm teaching myself martial arts. Used to go to classes long time ago. Yea.

I'm glad to see an appreciation for Yoga. There's more to it than just stretching and breathing. It helps to relieve tension in joints and, most importantly, helps to build stabilizer muscles which are invaluable to performance AND looking good. Its every bit as important to look into as complexes and potentiation based workouts. And if you don't know what those two words mean, check them out!

Does anybody else have the iFitness app on their phone? I'm starting to find it quite handy.

I hit the gym a couple of times a week and last time, which was yesterday, it didn't really feel like a good day at all during warmup, but I'm not a quitter, so I kept at it. I always do sit-ups and yesterday, I also worked on my triceps and back muscles. However, midway through my excercise, I started feeling quite nauseous. That's happened before, but not quite as bad as yesterday. I thought I was going to throw up and felt dizzy for quite a while after I was done.

Any tips on how I can avoid such nausea in the future?

I have no idea, I've never heard of that. I could ask around work for the benefit of us both .
